The band practice Mellish Rugby Club on Mapperley Plains Road, just outside the city.
Directions:
From Nottingham city centre (Victoria Centre area) take Woodborough Road to Mapperley Plains Road and stay on the main road passing the traffic lights at the top of Westdale Lane; the traffic lights at the junction of Arnold Lane and across the small traffic islands at Spring Lane and Coppice Road just further on.
Mellish Rugby Club is on the left, directly across from the Travellers Rest public house.
Band practice is at the following times:
- Monday evenings - 7pm until ~ 9:30pm,
Beginners 7 to 7:45pm
Everybody welcome, no matter what standard.
- Thursday evenings may be arranged by the Pipemajor and Leading Drummer if needed.
There are also extra practices held on Sundays on mutually agreed dates throughout the year as appropriate (e.g. on the run-up to a Major Championships, etc.).
